Nothings Strategy in 2026 | Nothing Blog

Hey Community

In a recent video update from the new London headquarters, Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, provided exciting insights into the company's future plans. While 2025 was a record year with over one billion in revenue and achieving Unicorn status, Nothing is charting a new course for 2026.

No Phone (4) this Year?

The most surprising news: Nothing will not be launching a new flagship smartphone in 2026. Pei clarified that the Phone (3) will remain the current flagship.

The company intends to break with the industry-standard cycle of annual hardware upgrades unless they are significant enough.

Focus on the Phone (4a) Series and Audio Products

Phone (4a): The A series is Nothing's best-selling line. The upcoming Phone (4a) is intended to represent a "complete evolution" and bring it even closer to the flagship experience – with improvements to the display, camera, and materials.

Audio Products

Audio Products: Following the huge success of the Headphone (1), the company plans to massively expand this area in 2026.

Software Revolution

Software Revolution: "Essential Apps" With Nothing OS 4.0 (currently in alpha), the company is introducing an AI-powered feature. Users will be able to create their own apps and widgets simply by providing descriptions, without any programming knowledge. This feature will initially be available exclusively for the Phone (3).

The Challenge: Exploding RAM Prices

Challenge: A critical topic of the update was the massively increasing cost of memory (RAM), driven by the global AI boom [11:34]. Pei warned that prices are fluctuating by several hundred percent and that this is affecting the entire industry. As a result, Nothing will have to adjust the prices for its smartphone portfolio.

Global Expansion

Nothing is increasingly focusing on physical presence:

- New flagship store in Bengaluru, India (opened February 14 2026)

- New Headquarter in London

- Further Locations planned in Tokyo and New York City
